Oscars Red Carpet 2019

While I LOVE movies, this mama doesn’t get out much with three littles to actually see many of them these days…So while I watched and loved the Awards as always…it’s time for my annual Red Carpet fashion round up!

Pinks and ruffles definitely rocked the Red Carpet this year, and I have to say…seeing all this color is really getting me excited for Spring. Here were some of my favs from last night.

Kacey Musgraves wearing Giambattista Valli. Okay, I was DYING over this dress ya’ll. If you remember my wedding dress back in 2011, you know how much I love tulle, and pink tulle!? Yes please! I’m especially loving the neckline, the cinched waist, and the multiple tiers. Almost like a regal ballerina.

Gemma Chan wearing Valentino couture. I just LOVED this dress, and the fact that this dress has a POCKET just took it up a notch for me as well. Also a fan of the high neckline. She is slaying this dress.

KiKi Layne weating Atelier Versace. This sleek light pink number really complements her skin tone and I love the back ruffle detail to give it some flare. Looking super chic.

Pretty sure Helen Mirren always looks classy in whatever she wears, but I loved this fun vibrant dress with layers of color. Made by Schiaparelli Haute Couture.

angelabasset

Angela Basset in Reem Acra. A little prom-like for me, but she pulls it off.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet wearing Karl Lagerfeld (Fendi). RIP. Also, someone I know pointed out that he is wearing a SCRUNCHI on this wrist! Haha!

Amy Adams never disappoints on the Red Carpet. Last night she rocked Atelier Versace.

Another beauty who always rocks the Red Carpet with style and grace. Emma Stone wearing Louis Vuitton. Loving those shoulders!

J. Lo. always glows. Last night with A. Rod, both wearing Tom Ford.

Lady Gaga in Alexander McQueen. Still DYING over her performance with Bradley Cooper and the chemistry they shared. I NEED to see this movie ASAP.

91st Academy Awards - Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 24 Feb 2019

Bradley Cooper wearing Tom Ford and rocking the runway with his mama, Gloria Campano, and his girl, Irina Shayk. But again…DID YOU SEE THE CHEMISTRY WITH HIM AND LADY GAGA?! Just sayin’.

Okay, I had to share Billy Porter, as I believe this was the BIGGEST statement piece on the Red Carpet last night. Half tuxedo, half ball gown, this stunning Christian Siriano design completely caught my attention. What a beautiful collaboration of masculinity and femininity, playing with the gender binary and such a bold choice. Bravo!

Jennifer Hudson looking vivacious in this stunning Elie Saab gown.

And lastly, I wanted to share this ray of sunshine, Constance Wu, in Atelier Versace. She made the Carpet bright, and has me totally wishing for warmer weather here on the East Coast!

Big congrats to all the winners and nominees. I pretty much still need to see all of the movies. Got some work to do! Haha. What movie should I start with?

Okay, you guys, I want to hear YOUR favorites on the Red Carpet from last night!

Let me know below!

Make it a great week everyone!

Oscar Red Carpet Favs

jessica-biel-and-justin-timberlake

BOOM! I don’t necessarily have these in any particular order. However, this power couple had to top my list. Jessica Biel looking fierce as ever in the this bold bombshell gold gown by Kaufman Franco.

emma-stone

Emma Stone looking simply stunning as she graces the Red Carpet for her nomination in La La Land. Loving this chic, gold Givenchy Haute Couture number, especially with that bottom fringe and her Old Hollywood Glam hairstyle.

89th Annual Academy Awards, Arrivals, Los Angeles, USA - 26 Feb 2017

Hailee Steinfeld looks dreamy in this romantic Ralph & Russo gown. Just loving the texture and the neckline here. And the back…ahhh hard to see from this angle, but it’s to die for.

isabelle-huppert

Can we say classy and chic right here? Isabelle Huppert shows that you can rock the red carpet at any age. Obsessed with her Armani Privé gown, lip color, hair…all of it. She looks incredibly beautiful.

89th Annual Academy Awards - Arrivals

Michelle Williams always manages to make my favorites, and this year did not disappoint. Love the plunging neckline and the sparkle on this Louis Vuitton gown. Her hair is also looking super chic.

emma-roberts

Now, Emma Roberts’ vintage Armani Privé dress is very similar to Michelle’s which is probably why I also like it! It has a similar neckline, and she also shows a little peek-a-boo on the side angle which I typically despise, but here I think it works. Obsessed with the lace and also her hair and makeup for an overall stunning look.

nicole-kidman

You may see a trend here with lots of golds and nudes on the list, but again this Armani Privé gown on Nicole Kidman also makes my list! I’m loving all the embroidery and detail, and her lip color is on point. Stunning as usual Nicole!

kirsten-dundst

Finally a classic black dress to make the list. This Dior Haute Couture gown is simple, but Kirsten really rocks it. I love the shoes, the pockets in the dress and her hair and make up really rounds out her total look.

Octavia Spencer.jpg

I ALWAYS love me some Marchesa, and Octavia Spencer looks FABULOUS in this custom designed gown. Loving those whimsical feathers, and think she looks fantastic.

ruth-negga

Last, but not least, here is a little color to the list with Ruth Negga in Valentino. Love the sheerness, the lace, the neckline, and she is just really doing red proud on that Red Carpet!

Okay, now it’s time to hear YOUR favorites!!! Please share below!!!

Happy Oscars to all!

Happy Monday!

Today I want to share some of my favorites from the Oscar Red Carpet.  Two major trends I saw this year were metallics and pale neutral colors.  Of course, there were a few pops of bright color in there as well.   There were so many to choose from this year (even the gentlemen rose to the occasion!), but these were on the top of my list.

Would love to know your Red Carpet favorites as well!

I had a great time watching the Academy Awards last night with the hubby.  I felt very knowledgable about a lot more of the films this year, because of our Race to the Oscars.  I also thought the competition was really fantastic this year.  So many amazing pieces of work were nominated, and so many categories held really wonderful options for winners.  There was a even a tie in the Sound Editing category this year.  I have never heard of an Oscar tie!  What an honor to share.  The performances were great, and there was even a guest appearance by our First Lady–what a surprise!  Congrats to Argo and Ben Affleck for winning Best Picture.  How exciting!

I had a great weekend fulfilling a bucket list item (more to share on that later!), date nights with the hubby, coaching basketball, and relaxing.  Looking forward to a busy week ahead as well.

Hope you all have a great week too!

XO,

Gina
