2017 Outfits In Review

img_9645_layers_v1

Better late than never! Here is a compilation of some of my favorite outfits from 2017. Notice, how when it starts to get cold, there are fewer outfits posted. That has less to do with me not liking the outfits, and more to do with the fact that I hate the cold! Haha. Plus I feel bad bringing my hubby and kids out in the freezing cold to do a shoot. So therefore, you don’t see much of the winter outfits haha. But nonetheless, here are some favs. If you click each individual photo, it will take you to the original post to see the whole shoot. Which look is your favorite?

Sweater: Express / Tank: Old Navy / Jeans: Rag & Bone / Shoes: New Balance / Hat: Baltimore Orioles / Necklace: Love Lori Michelle

It’s tough to find the time to get in an outfit shoot these days, especially with the cold weather with two little ones when your husband is the photographer. I promise I still get dressed…sometimes. Well, at least on weekends. But enough with the excuses. We made it happen last weekend. A casual outfit for a casual day…brunch at Bar Bacon (amaze!), the playground, and a walk through Central Park. The kids both slept through brunch, so it was kind of like a date. It was nice to get into Manhattan and have the kids feel the magic of the city and the tall buildings, but also to escape to our favorite city sanctuary of Central Park.

Since I am generally in workout gear during the week these days, I normally dress up a little more over the weekends. But I felt like going for that sporty look with the sneakers and baseball cap. It’s not my typical go-to style, but it felt right for the day and felt comfortable for what we had planned. I even had a fellow mom strike up a convo with¬†me on the playground because of my Baltimore O’s hat. She was a former Marylander as well. See, not everyone in NY is a Yankees fan ūüėČ You can take the girl out of Maryland…

…but she will still sing the Star Bangled Banner with an “O!” (All you Maryland people know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! And everyone else is like huh?)

I digress…speaking of my hometown…we will be heading back there on Friday after the boy’s doc appointments (6 and 2.5 yr. check ups already!). Saturday we will be celebrating my baby boy Luca as¬†he will be officially welcomed into the Church! Very excited to celebrate his special day, which he will also share with his Papa who is turning 35! Looking forward to a day of family, friends, and celebration!

Hope you are all having a fantastic week!

XO,

Gina

Now that I am working from home as a fitness coach and freelance writer, chasing around a toddler and let’s be honest…being pregnant…the days of me dressing up for work are few and far between. I’m lucky if I put real clothes on once during the week and then I normally make up for it on the weekends. But during the week, my neighborhood is pretty casual, and I’m usually running around or working from home, so comfort is key! I decided to put together a little style board of fitness fashion this Friday in honor of my laid back athletic weekly style. What piece do you like the best?

Happy Friday! Also wishing you mamas out there a Happy Mother’s Day this weekend!

{24} Lately…

10173625_10102694714936518_694743385761873635_n

Lately I’ve been…

reading  The Girl on the Cliff by LucindaRiley.  This book came on recommendation from a friend, and so far I am super captivated!

writing  A packing list for our trip to the lake house in New Hampshire.  We leave tomorrow, and I cannot wait!

listening  Let me start off by saying I know this song is kind of terrible.  But something about this song and my old club days makes me not hate it.

thinking ¬†Time is going so fast! ¬†Nico hit two milestones this past week. ¬†“Crawling” – or his version of it at least. ¬†He’s basically sliding all over the apartment (including underneath the table and chairs as seen above‚Ķwe are in trouble), and I told the hubby we should at least strap a swiffer duster to his belly so the floors get cleaned at the same time. ¬†I kid, I kid. ¬†He also pulled himself up to a standing position all by himself on Monday. ¬†I was at work, and I missed it, which sucked, because as a mom you never want to miss those first moments. ¬†I am so happy for him and all of his latest accomplishments, but it’s starting to hit home that our little baby is getting bigger, and it’s impossible to go back in time to when he was tiny.

smelling  Not much of anything, because I have been all stuffed up with sickness this past week.  Meh.

watching  The Bachelorette is back!  Any early guesses of who will win?

wishing  For clear skies in New Hampshire, so we can view all the pretty stars at night again this year.

hoping  Along the same lines…for sunshine this weekend!  The weather is looking a bit gloomy thus far.  I know we will still have fun catching up with our friends, playing board games and watching movies, but if possible, I would prefer to be hiking and exploring!

wearing  Casual today in Paige denim, black and white striped tank, Camo jacket, and New Balance tennis shoes

loving ¬†The fresh Hazelnut coffee we have been getting from Fairway. ¬†I’m not much of a coffee snob. ¬†I usually drink one cup a day, and the Keurig system works for us. ¬†I had never really thought much about the freshness of the K-Cups, but until you have had one of the new Fairway One Cups (which foregoes all the bottom plastic as well for the green folks out there), you haven’t had a good¬†K-cup!

laughing  At this woman who was just a LITTLE bit excited to be a grandmother.

wanting  A recommendation for a new spring nail polish!  Who has one?

needing ¬†A new bathing suit for summer, but dreading the shopping process this year. ¬†None of my old suits fit my current body, so it’s back to the drawing board. ¬†I have a couple ideas in mind in terms of styles, so hopefully I can find something that works.

feeling  Still feeling pain and popping in my thumb a couple days after the Cortisone shot.  Hoping it kicks in soon, or else I may need another injection and possibly surgery.  Oy.

craving ¬†Fresh fruit. ¬†It’s almost summertime, which means all my favorite fruits will soon be in season!

clicking ¬†Around on the¬†Father’s Day gift hunt‚Ķit will be here before we know it!

What have you been up to lately?

Hope you all have a great week!

Gina

{10} Lately…

20weeks

Lately I’ve been…

reading  May issues of Health Magazine and Marie Claire.  Got some yummy new recipes and a desire to return to Italy!

writing  Thank you notes for all of the kindness my family and friends have shown toward Little Monkey so far!  He is a lucky little boy!

listening¬† To the news. ¬†I admit, I am not the best when it comes to keeping up with the news. ¬†I usually get my updates from Facebook and Twitter (I know, that’s horrible, but true). ¬†But events from the past week have kept me tuned in.

thinking  That I cannot believe I am halfway through my pregnancy!  20 weeks in, and 20 weeks left until I get to meet my Baby Boy!

smelling  Not much of anything.  I have been sick and stuffed up all week.

watching  The always entertaining Real Housewives of Orange County.  Never a dull dinner party.

wishing  For safe travels as we head down to Maryland this weekend.

hoping  That I can pack my bags in less than 2 hours.  For me this would be an accomplishment.

wearing ¬†¬†Today is a lazy day. ¬†I blame it on being sick all week. ¬†I’m literally in yoga pants, New Balance tennis shoes, layered tank, tshirt, and sweater. ¬†On days like today, I’m so very lucky my office is low key.

loving   The fact that 215 people have signed up for the John Petrovick Memorial 5K this weekend!  I am so thankful to my friends who have put this event together.  This is a great turnout for the very first event, and John would be so happy and proud.  So excited to see you all in Baltimore!

laughing ¬†At myself trying on bathing suits with my prego belly last night in preparation for our trip to warm-weather Arizona. ¬†No really…it was quite comical.

wanting ¬†To be outside playing in this sunshine today. ¬†It’s gorgeous in NYC!

needing  To flush this sickness throughly out of my system as soon as possible.

feeling ¬†Super excited for our trip to Arizona at the beginning of May. ¬†Hanging out with my pen pal in her hometown for the first time, seeing family and friends, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, warm weather, Mexican food, our two year wedding anniversary, and our “baby moon” trip…so many reasons for this excitement!

craving¬† Everything and anything neon. ¬†As seen on Monday’s post.

clicking ¬†I took a million photos during our Boston trip last weekend of the wedding and the rest of our adventures. ¬†Once again, I’m blaming my sickness for my delay in posting these, but I promise they should be up sometime next week!

*Sidenote:  I just got my Waveborn shades in the mail today, and I cannot wait to rock them oh so soon!

What have you been up to lately?

Happy Friday!

Love,

Gina

I wanted to share some of my favorites this holiday season. ¬†Christmas is my most cherished time of year. ¬†Spending quality time with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do, and I am lucky I get to see almost everyone from back home around the holidays. ¬†I love shopping for others and seeing their faces as they open their gifts. ¬†And let’s be totally honest…we all love to receive some shiny new things for ourselves under the tree as well!
Now that I’ve shared my holiday wish list, please tell me what’s on yours!
And stay tuned for an upcoming gift-giving guide for ideas of what you can give others in the next week.
In other news…HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my amazing DAD! ¬†Stay tuned for another special post coming this week as well. ūüôā
Happy Holidays!
