Baby Notes #3 Reveal

289A8716

Oh my gosh, you guys. The reveal day is finally here!!! I have been waiting to share (and find out myself) for so long! Lemme tell you, holding onto that envelope for 2 weeks while Zack was out of town was not easy! Haha. But our props finally arrived, Zack came home, and Saturday was go time. We headed to Prospect Park with Tyler Lyons on Saturday evening around sunset to capture our reveal and our reactions along with the news. It was a beautiful evening, and we are so happy for our little Baby Notes on the way!

Your guesses on Facebook and Instagram massively skewed toward girl. I honestly went back and forth each trimester thinking something different. Of course, I found this soccer ball reveal prop on Etsy, and I just HAD to use it being a soccer player and now that my boys love the sport as well. My neighbor was the first one to find out since she purchased the soccer ball for me to use for this shoot. Okay…keep scrolling to find out if you guessed it right!!!

It’s a BOY!!!! Another Brother! #boysonlyclub

Oh my gosh. You should have seen poor little Nico’s face. He was CERTAIN it was going to be pink, and he was in SUCH a state of shock. I felt a little bad that we hyped up this reveal a little too much, because apparently he really got into it! He was hoping for a sister…That said, one day later, and he was back to being super excited again about his little baby on the way!

So I had an extra ball ordered, because I wasn’t sure how easy they were going to be to break open, and I was a little nervous myself or one of the kids would break it before we actually got to take our photos! LOL. I will say that this thing was STURDY as a rock. I had to kick is really hard (and my foot actually hurt haha), so I don’t think buying two was necessary. But that said, we had an extra one, so we let Nico throw it down to take a few more photos once we knew we were having a little BOY! It took him about 4 throws before he could get it to break, but he finally got it!

Can’t believe I’m gonna be a #boymom for life!!! Wow! Another little monkey will be joining this crazy crew in August!

Thank you Tyler Lyons for capturing this special family moment for us! It was so much fun!

Tyler also snagged a video for us from his phone, and I edited a little something together as well if you want to watch the action.

Thank you all for your patience! I know I was driving some of you crazy making you all wait this long to find out haha. One person even said they thought we were having twins because of all the hype hahaha. NO. I guess I have always just loved a big production. ūüėČ

To see the reveals we did in the past for Nico and Luca you can check them out here (Nico’s) and here (Luca’s).

Thanks for all the love and I feel so incredibly blessed right now! ‚̧ ‚̧ ‚̧

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Gina

Moto Leggings: Tobi (on sale!) / Coat: ZARA Рsimilar here and here / Sweater: Madewell via Trunk Club Рsold out but loving this color / Booties: H&M / Scarf: Gifted Рalso like this one / Sunnies: Brickyard Buffalo

Moto leggings are all the rage this season, and I have to say I am jumping on this train full force and loving it. I got my first pair from Trunk Club in an olive green, so when I saw these black babies from Tobi I HAD to have them in my closet! As a New Yorker, black is a go-to color in my wardrobe, and these will basically go with ANYTHING, so I was super excited to snag them. I just love the detail on the front of the thigh, and the zips down the size give them a little edge. They are super comfortable and the material is flattering, stretchy, and forgiving. I can pretty much guarantee these are going to get a lot of wear from me this season and beyond. Added bonus…these are currently on sale for 50% off.

This puffer coat from ZARA is also on heavy rotation this winter as 1) it’s WARM…and let’s be honest…that is a high priority for me in outerwear right now! I am not a cold weather loving gal, so staying bundled up is key. And 2) it’s a cuter puffer coat than most with the faux fur hood and leopard lining. It can be tough to make a warm puffer coat look cute, but I think ZARA did well.

This olive sweater from Madewell is SUPER comfy, and I’m sad the color is unavailable, but I do also love this one and I promise it’s warm!

I want to thank you all SO much for all your love and warm wishes for our big announcement we made yesterday!!! We got so much love over on Facebook and Instagram, and I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have such an incredibly wonderful community, family, and friends. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. We feel so blessed to be welcoming a 3rd child into our family, and we are excited for all the adventures this new chapter will bring!

I’m also excited to my experiences with you this time around when it comes to health, exercise, fashion, mom life and more!

Hope you’re all having an amazing week!

XO,

Gina

Another Present Under the Tree!

Baby Notes 3.jpg

Welp, today is Day #1 of the long anticipated 80 Day Obsession, but looks like I won’t be starting today afterall…God has another plan!!!

Looks like there was one more present under the tree. The Notes Fam is expecting Baby 3! ūüôā ūüôā

We’re only 9 weeks so say some prayers to the man upstairs¬†and send some good vibes for a healthy human to arrive to us in August!

I know some of you are probably wondering why I am announcing so “early” because it’s not the “norm,” but after hearing about a recent terrible pregnancy loss from a high school friend, it was another reminder to me to celebrate every moment. I have something to celebrate NOW. And yes, I know the terrible that could happen…it has happened before…but announcing “early” and celebrating the life inside me now doesn’t change any outcomes. I don’t want to hide in fear of what could happen but instead celebrate what IS happening now..and that is I’m growing a human! And no matter what happens, I will only be stronger for having all of the support around me.

Plus, I’m starting to pop out already big time. ¬†I share much of my life on social media, and it just feels so unnatural for me to hide and not be able to share everything that has been going on behind the scenes of the first trimester…like being super hungry and incredibly tired this week and not even wanting to exercise. And having that nausea finally kick in. Apparently this is normal for this week of pregnancy, so I’m trying to ride the wave, but happy to share what’s been going on as I navigate this pregnancy with two little boys. This weekend I have been SO thankful for my helpful hubby! And that we have him for an extra day.

Thanks for all the love and support you all have shown my fam thus far, and we are so excited for this new journey as a family of 5!

Family Maternity Shoot With Misa*Me

PP_Notes_Maternity_008

I am absolutely incredibly lucky and grateful to have a first cousin and bestie who is an impeccable photographer! Marisa Crider of Misa*Me Photography snapped these photos of my little growing family during our larger family reunion back in the month of June when I was 30 weeks pregnant. It was a hot summer day, and somehow she was able to capture some great shots even with a cranky toddler. It started to rain a bit during the shoot, and then all of the sudden, the sun peeked out. I’m telling you, she is a miracle worker! I love the way she is able to capture the light. She took so many more fabulous photos for us, and it’s going to be a tough decision as to which ones end up on the walls of our home! These were some of my favorites that captured all (almost) four of us. Now, here, at 38 weeks, I cannot even believe that we are about to meet our little guy here soon!

{15} Lately…

lately

Lately I’ve been…

reading¬† Just finished a couple books including Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan, and Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. ¬†Maine was an okay beach read, but I honestly didn’t care for the characters all that much. ¬†They were a bit bitchy and whiny, and while they were all family, it was pretty tough for them to all get along. ¬†It was a decent read, but not a must for me. ¬†Sharp Objects on the other hand was a really good book. ¬†If you liked Gone Girl, then you will like this book as well. ¬†This mystery/thriller is an easy read that captures your attention, and makes you unable to put it down.

writing¬† Finished all of my thank you notes for the many wonderful gifts we received for our little guy! ¬†I’m also writing up my to-do lists for how to train our new employee who is coming in next week and will be filling in while I’m on maternity leave. ¬†Can’t believe it’s almost that time!

listening  Loving this summer jam, Reload by Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash, and John Martin.  Makes me wanna dance.

thinking ¬†It’s been a beautiful week here in NYC, and that I am incredibly lucky the weather has been kind to me this August.

smelling  The new Bath and Body works lotion I got for my birthday, Rio Rumberry.

watching¬† A French, indie film called¬†The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. ¬†I read the book a few years ago, and have been wanting to watch the movie ever since. ¬†It’s a true story about well-known man in the fashion industry who became a paraplegic and learned to communicate and write a novel with the blink of his eye. ¬†Fascinating.

wishing¬† That the rocking chair/glider that just arrived for our nursery didn’t feel like it was taking over the entire room. ¬†I swear it didn’t look that big in the photos! ¬†I think I’m starting to get used to it, but when it first arrived, I was in a bit of shock!

hoping  For a fun, yet productive weekend ahead!  Planning on finally checking out the Hester Street Fair (for real this time), attending a Brooklyn Cyclones game with friends, and putting in some more work on the nursery.

wearing ¬†An old blue/green maxi skirt from American Eagle that I’ve had in my closet for awhile now paired with a coral and white striped maternity tee from Motherhood. ¬†Old Navy white flip flops for comfort, and my vintage sunnies. ¬†

loving ¬†These sexy, fall booties from ALDO. ¬†Gah, I can’t wait to wear heels again!

laughing ¬†We’ve been listening to all the comedy stations on XM Radio during our past few long car rides. ¬†I’m usually the driver, but Zack has had to drive a bit this summer due to my pregnancy sleepiness. ¬†We find that laughing while driving is a good way to stay awake.

wanting ¬†To be with my family this week in the Outer Banks, NC on our annual vacation. ¬†It’s the one time of the year when both sides of my family all get together, and it’s one of my favorite weeks of the year. ¬†However, I know I’m staying put in NY for a very good reason! ¬†Luckily, the weather has been so great here, and I have been keeping myself distracted with a busy work schedule and prepping for the baby to arrive. ¬†I just flash forward to next year when we will have an almost-one-year-old running around with us at the beach!

needing ¬†To get my hospital bag packed. ¬†Next week I’ll be full term, and they say you could go at any time between 37-42 weeks. ¬†I know that is a big, open time frame, but you also never know when the little one will want to make his debut! ¬†Therefore, that is on the top of my list for weekend priorities.

feeling ¬†Pretty good! ¬†Sometimes it’s hard to get comfortable, and I have to pee at all times, but overall, I am feeling pretty good in these last few weeks of pregnancy.

craving ¬†Sweets. ¬†It’s probably not good, and I typically have a sweet tooth anyway…but I’m finding myself wanting something sweet almost every day now. ¬†I guess I can milk these last few weeks while I can ūüėČ

clicking  Through many animated commercials that our new clients have done.  Been trying to familiarize myself with their work as much as I can.

*

What have you been up to lately?

Happy Friday!  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Love,

Gina

Maternity Photos By Misa*Me

L65A2864

On the weekend we went back to Maryland for Teri’s bridal shower and Little Monkey’s baby shower, we were lucky enough to squeeze in this maternity photo session with the lovely Marisa Crider of Misa*Me Photography. ¬†I was looking for a sun drenched romantic setting with tall grass for the backdrop of this shoot, and Marisa found the perfect location! ¬†The sun more or less cooperated for some of the time, and we were able to get the beautiful field shots I wanted as well as some surprise shots on a nearby beach. ¬†Marisa never fails to impress with her talents, and she truly captured our excitement for our arriving baby boy. ¬†We cannot wait to meet him and share these photos with him one day.

Skirt the Issue

IMG_9940_Layers_v1

Got an ever-growing baby bump, and can’t really wear sweats and a t-shirt to the office? ¬†No problem…skirt the issue! ¬†Luckily, I can¬†pretty much wear whatever I want to work on a daily basis. ¬†However, when I have meetings or lunches with clients or advertising creatives, I do like to look presentable! ¬†This particular day, we were having a birthday lunch at the Mandarin Hotel for my boss and I, who both have our birthdays around the same time. ¬†The meal was delicious, and the view overlooking Central Park was even better. ¬†I scored this outfit at Motherhood Maternity, and both top and skirt are quite comfortable, yet presentable for the workplace.

Skirt: Motherhood Maternity / Top: Motherhood Maternity / Shoes: Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Rack (sold out) – also like these / Sunnies: ModCloth / Bag: Longchamp / Watch: Michael Kors / Bracelets: Henri Bendel, Baublebar, Gorjana / Nails: Essie Rock the Boat / Lip: Lancome Groupie

My husband and I had a BUSY weekend. ¬†Unfortunately, we never made it to that Hester Street Fair (don’t worry girls, we will make it before August is through!). ¬†However, we made LOADS of progress on our little boy’s nursery. ¬†I completed all of my thank you cards, Zack installed the carseat and built the stroller. ¬†We figured out how to use all the stroller seats and attachments. ¬†We built the bassinet stand, swing, rock and play, and activity gym. ¬†We cleaned out the entire living room (so we can now sit on the couch), and found a place for almost everything, set up his dressers and started decorating the room. ¬†We decorated his name in wooden letters, adorned an entire wall in monkey and tree decals. ¬†We built a crib…loaded up shelves…I think there is actually more we completed if you can believe it, but my brain is too tired to think straight anymore! ¬†Not to mention my body. ¬†All this while 8 months prego, and a husband running a fever. ¬†I have to say, we were pretty proud of ourselves.

After all our hard work, we decided to treat ourselves to a little dinner out last night at a new restaurant in the neighborhood called Wheated. ¬†They boast fresh Neapolitan pizza. ¬†Let’s just say we will be returning! ¬†This whole area on Church Avenue is actually booming with new businesses and restaurants, so we discovered a whole slew of places that we need to try in the near future.

It’s a gorgeous day in NYC. ¬†If every day in August is like this for the rest of my pregnancy, I promise to never complain! ¬†It’s amazing. ¬†Hope you all had an awesome weekend, and wishing you a very wonderful week ahead!

XO,

Gina
